Agile Software Development in the Enterprise: How to Survive in Turbulent Times
Dr. Sutherland will speak on the topic of “Agile Software Development in the Enterprise”. We will explore how companies large and small have used hyper productive Agile to generate extraordinary financial returns. We will also discuss how Scrum scales up as companies grow, and the use of Scrum for outsourced, distributed teams. And, perhaps most appropriate to these times, hear how venture capitalists are using Scrum to improve returns in their investment portfolios by spreading Agile practice throughout the company and into the board rooms.

What can Business Analysis and Agile mean for each other? Presenting the Agile addendum to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge
Free event organised by iLean, Kontich – Business Park King Square, Veldkant 33A, 2550 Kontich.
The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) has created the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABoK) to capture the experience of business analysts worldwide on a wide set of projects. According to the BABoK, “Business analysis is the set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.”
Meanwhile, Agile methods, with their own methods of understanding needs and proposing solutions, have been sweeping through many companies.
Is there room for business analysts on Agile projects? Can agile teams learn from business analysts? What happens when business analysts work in Agile teams?
The IIBA has started up a workgroup to create an “Agile addendum” to the BABoK. This addendum will provide practical guidance to do business analysis in Agile projects, based on experience. We’ll present this effort so that both communities can review and contribute to this project.
Organized in collaboration with the Brussels chapter of the IIBA.
